Doors open at 9:45am and the first 150 families EACH DAY receive a "goodie bag" filled with various merchandise provided by various manufacturers. Services onsite include a pet photography by In Focus Photography; nail trimming; and an animal communicator. There will be demonstrations and contests. The contests include three categories of the Costume contest. The three categories are "Hand-crafted", "Ready-made" and "Strollers & Floats". Fr. John Allen will perform the "Blessing of the Pugs" EACH DAY which includes a general blessing and individualized blessings. There is also a Pug Race which medals and prizes are awarded to the top three winners. See schedule of events below for contest times and more event information. Pug Fest also has the "PUGFEST STORE" selling event merchandise, a 400 Item-plus Silent Auction over the two days, and approximately 70-plus vendors. "Smoochie-Faced" breeds such as Boston Terriers, Shih-Tzu's, French Bulldogs, etc are invited.

If you have lost a precious furever friend, please bring a picture to remember of them and/or note to add to the RainBeau Board! The RainBeau Board will be located at the entrance to the large hall. It is in honor of Beau who passed in January.

CUSTARD EATING CONTEST – SATURDAY May 18th at 12:00 noon.

Does your Pug have what it takes to eat a cup of Georgie Porgie custard? This contest is open to fifty (50) pugs on a first come…first serve basis. To enter, sign up at the Contest Signup Table located across from the "Pug Fest Event Store".

BUSTER AWARD TALENT CONTEST – SUNDAY May 19th at 1:45pm

Buster Kishler was a very funny pug who loved to show off his hilarious evasive maneuvers and comedy routines. For this award show us your pug’s best comedy routine- this could include dancing, spinning, singing and acting a fool. Creativity a bonus! Your pugs routine should elicit laughs and smiles from the audience. The family of Buster will assist in the judging of the contest. Good Luck!

"PAWPRINT MEMORIES"

Looking for a memory of your pug? For $10.00 we will provide you with a 8 x 10 artist canvas and multi-color washable paints to make a masterpiece of your pugs paw prints. We will have volunteers assisting you with this activity to make a lasting memory. We will spray a protective coating over the art work when it has dried. Look for "PawPrint Memories near the silent auction table.


Pug Fest Rules

  • All Pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations.
  • NO SELLING OF DOGS. VIOLATORS WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE COMPLEX.
  • ALL Dogs must be on a FIXED-LENGTH LEAD - NO "FLEXI-LEASHES" Allowed.
  • No Aggressive Dogs Allowed.

Annnual Pug FEST Bus Tours – Updated 4/25/19

Saturday - May 18, 2019 - 8:30am

We will have TWO buses leaving from the Comfort Suites hotel to take you and your pugs on "mini tours" of Milwaukee. The bus tours fill up fast, so reserve your spot today!! Limited to the first 30 reservations per bus. Price: $7.00 per person.

All buses leave from the Comfort Suites. Boarding will begin at 8:30am and the buses will depart promptly at 9:00am. Do not be late. Click here to reserve your spot today:

Bus #1 – Leaves promptly at 9:00am - loading will begin at 8:30 – Stops will include a dog park and the Fonzi statue. It will then make its way to historic, scenic Wauwatosa where you will be able to purchase lunch at Leff's Lucky Town (7208 W State St). There are shops in the area, including coffee shops and pastries. More stops will be added as time allows. Bus will arrive back at the hotel between 2:00pm and 3:00pm. Both venues will be outside so please keep the weather is mind and dress accordingly.

Bus #2 – Leaves promptly at 9:00am - loading will begin at 8:30am Stops will include a local dog park, the Fonzi statue, the lake front, and brunch at Brunch (800 N Plankinton Ave). Bus will arrive back at the hotel by approximately 1:00pm.


Comfort Suites Conference Center "Get-Together Party"

Saturday - May 18, 2019 - 6:00pm

We will have some famous Milwaukee Food Truck(s) outside the doors of the Hotel's Conference Center beginning at approximately 5:00pm. The "Get-Together Party" will begin at approximately 6:00pm. There is a cash bar with free soft drinks available. Each attending Rescue donates raffle items and baskets that are raffled off and all proceeds from this event are awarded to three attending Rescues by a drawing. Rescues will also have select merchandise for sale at this event. Pugs are welcome, however we ask that due to limited space, there are no motorized vehicles allowed.
